Module 1

Exploring how to work with low voltage circuits

Activity 1

my first circuit design
the battery rolls between each circuit having trouble getting the LEDs to turn on left side successful right side successful next I tried graphite
did not work I then tried more graphite
still nothing testing if the copper tape was conductive on both sides my test was successful trying out other household objects the chain idea kind of works
perhaps I'll use that for the final in some way one side of a wrap around design the other side trying to connect with a paper clip
was not successful testing to make sure the rest of it works
can conclude paper clip was the issue trying a safety pin since I knew it worked earlier
was not strong enough to get proof of it working playing around with magnets the circuit will not close with the magnet alone the magnet does hold the copper tape strongly enough, though trying a different configuration
good inspiration for the final project using my phone case to complete a circuit where the copper tape connects thankfully I got it to work using the cap to connect through a meatl water bottle didn't seem to work
the curvature interfiered it suddenly started working anyways

Activity 2

Action 1: Opening a Door
using the knob as a rotational switch tracing out the path of the door so it creates new connections at different levels of open/closed using the springy door stop to complete the circuit using the lock as a rotational switch creating a NOT gate so the light is only on when the door is open Action 2: Putting on a Hat
using the snap back to complete the circuit headband that completes circuit when hat is put on button inside hat that gets pressed by the head squeeze ball like the kid's hats with ears that pop up button on brim of hat that is pressed when held Action 3: Wearing Shoes
circuit in the laces heel hitting the ground completes the circuit hit shoes against each other to complete the circuits hitting toe to back of other shoe to complete circuit button inside pressed by heel Action 4: Skateboarding
using wheel as rotational switch end hitting ground completes circuit pressure from foot completes circuit using railing/grindable surface to complete circuit button on end of the board that is pressed when held Action 5: Using a Chair
sitting completes circuit puching chair in completes circuit staking more chairs turns on more lights/outputs using a spinny chair to make a rotational switch all 4 legs must touch the floor to complete circuit
