Exploring the sounds of the home

Activity 1

pressing random keyboard keys<br><audio controls src='audio/keyboard.mp3'></audio> opening and closing the freezer<br><audio controls src='audio/freezer.mp3'></audio> the sound of our humidifier<br><audio controls src='audio/humid.mp3'></audio> one of those springey doorstops kids like to play with<br><audio controls src='audio/doorstop.mp3'></audio> lamp cords just have a cool sound<br><audio controls src='audio/lamp.mp3'></audio> playing with scissors, bad idea but sounds nice<br><audio controls src='audio/scissors.mp3'></audio> zippers have an awesome sound<br><audio controls src='audio/jacket.mp3'></audio> a lot of pen clicking<br><audio controls src='audio/pen.mp3'></audio> the usual ambient house sound of the heating/AC<br><audio controls src='audio/heating.mp3'></audio> our microwave just has a neat sound<br><audio controls src='audio/microwave.mp3'></audio> playing with the front door<br><audio controls src='audio/lock.mp3'></audio> flicking the lightswitch over and over<br><audio controls src='audio/light.mp3'></audio> similar to scissors, not the safest fidget but sounds cool<br><audio controls src='audio/knife.mp3'></audio> not a fan of running water sounds but it's an everyday occurence<br><audio controls src='audio/tap.mp3'></audio> showing off the weird sound pump bottles make<br><audio controls src='audio/bottle.mp3'></audio> what is probably my favourite hat<br><audio controls src='audio/hat.mp3'></audio> the click of the snooze button on my alarm clock<br><audio controls src='audio/clock.mp3'></audio> my room has a very squeaky door<br><audio controls src='audio/door.mp3'></audio> the semi smooth sliding of drawers<br><audio controls src='audio/drawer.mp3'></audio> these chip clips are another good fidget, even if the sound is annoying<br><audio controls src='audio/clip.mp3'></audio> the metal ring binding on a book<br><audio controls src='audio/book.mp3'></audio> the capsule from a jumbo kinder egg<br><audio controls src='audio/kinder.mp3'></audio> another classic childhood fidget; the back of the remote<br><audio controls src='audio/remote.mp3'></audio> another kind of lock that's fun to play with<br><audio controls src='audio/lock2.mp3'></audio> always liked the sound of these drawers in my room<br><audio controls src='audio/drawer2.mp3'></audio>

Activity 2

mouse controlled frequency<iframe src='iframes/t1p1.html'> mouse controlled amplitude & frequency<iframe src='iframes/t1p2.html'> I wanted to make multiple waves that could be played at once but it doesn't work adding an amplitude slider to the original<iframe src='iframes/t1p4.html'> adding a wave type changer button for more sound control<iframe src='iframes/t1p5.html'> added pausing, a longer scale, and a chord button<br>(chord can't be stopped for some reason)<iframe src='iframes/t1p6.html'> just playing with the styling while I come up with ideas<iframe src='iframes/t2p1.html'> trying out a different visual<iframe src='iframes/t2p2.html'> looked up how to modify pitch directly but it doesn't seem to work, perhaps I'm missing something testing more dramatic change in rate<iframe src='iframes/t2p3.html'> adding a reverb slider<iframe src='iframes/t2p4.html'> I tried to change the colour settings but it wasn't working adding the FFT analysis from tutorial 1 & a wider rate range<iframe src='iframes/t2p5.html'> combining the visuals from different js files<iframe src='iframes/t2p6.html'> adding reverse functionality to the rate as well as a custom visual<iframe src='iframes/t2p7.html'> tried to make all the sliders affect the reverb but it doesn't really work properly<iframe src='iframes/t2p8.html'> first attempt at adding a replay to the page<br> was not successful<iframe src='iframes/t3p1.html'> trying out .getLevel<iframe src='iframes/t3p2.html'> tried again with the record & replay functionality<br>still failed but got closer<iframe src='iframes/t3p3.html'> using the analysis to average the frequency<iframe src='iframes/t3p4.html'> using frameCount to add additional movement<iframe src='iframes/t3p5.html'> I tried to add the sound player functionality from tutorial 2 but it won't work once again, I tried to add a sound player but it still doesn't work combining visual elements<iframe src='iframes/t3p6.html'> added rotation to the central visualiser<iframe src='iframes/t3p7.html'>
